NANA'S GREEN TEA PARFAIT

Green tea lovers such as myself will love to get a taste of this parfait from Nana's Green Tea Cafe. They have a couple of branches here in Malaysia such as the ones in One Utama and The Gardens (beside Midvalley). The branch that I visited was in One Utama.

They have several choices of green tea drinks and dishes but this parfait caught my eyes. Each parfait differs from each other in terms of their ingredients but of course the main ingredient (GREEN TEA) would not be missed out. 

Other interesting choices are the ones with chocolate bits and chocolate ice-creams.

The one I ordered (picture) is one of them. It contains, from bottom; kanten jelly (Japanese jelly), vanilla ice-cream, corn flakes, red bean paste, a scoop of green tea ice-cream and some whipped cream on the top to finish off.

Extra fact! Red bean compliments green tea the best. This is because green tea usually tastes a little bitter but the slight sweet taste of the red bean compliments it so well that together, they would bring a sweet taste yet not overpowering the green tea aroma. I really love the green tea ice-cream here because it is not as sweet as the ones you can find else where hence you can taste the authenticity of the green tea taste. Healthy eaters will love this too.

It was a little difficult to eat it from the tall thin glass even though they provide you a long spoon. Bits of cream will fall off as you scoop up the parfait so be careful. You would also want to consider sharing 1 parfait with another person as this is a little too much for one. Besides, what's more romantic than sharing a glass of bittersweet parfait with your loved ones <3
